    I bought this many years ago at a university auction.  I have used it as a book end for technical books.  I tested it and it is 1.4 ohm off through its entire range which considering its full range is 10,000 ohm, is pretty good.
    Two of its feet are missing and there is the previous owner's name on the side - Otherwise in great shape
